Optimist IODAI Trials 2005 - Some Statistics

The graphs are based on the set of results after the first weekend of the 2005 IODAI trials.

The graph with the age of sailors gives some indication of the proportion of the sailors that will be departing the fleet in 2005

The qualifiers by fleet takes into account the results of the 2004 championships less the 1989 sailors who have aged-out.

The three fleets are fairly evenly balanced.

The gender ratio of two thirds boys to one third girls does not reflect the equality that exists in the top ten where the split is actually half and half (after 10 races).

The split of sailors by club only lists clubs where more than one entrant is known to be a club member
(i.e. minimum of one for the graph).

Several entrants are members of multiple clubs and where known, each club has been credited with the sailor in the statistics.
