Garrett May sailing IBIS with three first places was the convincing winner of the Puppeteer Nationals championships held at HYC over the past weekend. Congratulations to Garrett and his crew on another great win and the retention of the trophy for the fourth year in succession. Congratulations also to Ciaràn McAuliffe and his crew sailing Arcturas who took home the handicap cup.

Derek Bothwell PRO chased the wind around the bay very effectively and the mostly WL courses set a few challenges for competitors at the mark rounding's with a goodly amount of friendly banter here and there about rule interpretations but nothing serious.

Rob Drysdale injected a novel dimension to the event with the use of a Go Pro camera for on the water filming of racing. It was very opportune that Noel Davidson sailing Pinocchio carried the camera for the final race of the series to record their brilliant second placing in the race - look out for it on the Pupeteer Facebook page.

Roger Gagney -Vice Commodore thanked Sutton Cross Pharmacy for their sponsorship of the event for the second year. Roisin McLoughlin and Orla Blake- proprietors of Sutton Pharmacy were well represented at the event with Orla racing with Tim Chillingworth on Gannet and Roisin was at hand at the prizegiving with her gorgeous duo who are keeping her a bit busy and shore bound at the minute
