The Annual Achievers' Night on 23rd November 2005 is held to recognise the sailing achievements of members of Howth Yacht Club during the 2005 season. 15 sailors across the sailing classes of HYC were nominated for this years Achievers Awards.
The Silver Fox Trophy and the Seaward Bell (Juniors) are awarded for 'special achievement' throughout the year.

David Lovegrove received the Silver Fox trophy in recognition of his success as PRO in the British Squib Nationals and the Irish & European Etchells Championships at HYC. In addition David was congratulated on his appointment as an
International Race Officer.
In the Junior Section, Diana Kissane received the Seaward Bell for her performance in the Optimist Class - 16th European Championship (girls), 1st Irish Nationals, Winning Howth Team - Irish Nationals, 1st Girl in Junior Helmsman's Championship.
