The Sutton Cross Pharmacy 2012 Puppeteer National Championships was completed on Sunday following two windward-leeward races and the conclusion of the six-race-series. A steady westerly breeze and flat seas allowed Andrew and Robin Hegarty's 'Eclipse' finish with a 4th and a 2nd on the last day and take the title from 2nd placed Terry Harvey and his crew on 'No Strings' and also Scorie Walls and Declan Browne's 'Gold Dust' who led after the first day.
'Odyssey' (Peter Byrne and Roger Stanley) took the handicap trophy following a consistent range of results in the 17 boat fleet.
