Over 70 sailors enjoyed a fabulous day of sailing at the Beshoff Motors sponsored HYC Dinghy Regatta on Sunday. The event was well supported with sailors from Malahide, Clontarf, Skerries, Sutton and the RStGYC.
PRO Richard Kissane took charge of a Main fleet comprising Lasers, 420, Fevas, Mirrors, Optimists, Toppers and a Pico.
Closer to shore PRO Brendan O’Reilly marshaled the up and coming Optimist Regatta fleet that was supported by coaches Chris Malcolm and Ciaran Hand.
A third group of even younger sailors enjoyed a treasure hunt and a sail around the harbour in Fireflies and Picos.
Jeremy Beshoff presented the prizes with Commodore Roger Cagney. The success of the event was in a large part due to the huge volunteer effort who manned all stations from race management, rescue, safety, slipway and catering. A great day was had by all.
