95 sailors from 16 different countries competed in the 10 race event, which was a great success.
David White (HYC) and William Atkinson (LDYC) represented Ireland. The ISA sent an Irish coach, John Lazenby, who was invaluable in our support.
After the 6th race the fleet was divided into Gold and Silver fleets. David was 24th and William 22nd and this secured us a slot in the gold fleet.
The final overall results were, William 29th and David 34th. It was an amazing experience. It was a great feeling when I got 7th in the 5th race. I would recommend it to anybody who wants International racing experience.
