HYC Website shortlisted for Golden Spider Award

The Golden Spider Awards at the Burlington Hotel
 
The Golden Spiders are Ireland’s premier internet & web awards (www.goldenspiders.ie )

Its the 'Oscars' for those involved in website design in Ireland and on 20th November the Burlington Hotel was packed with representatives from the web design community and their clients for the 2008 awards ceremony.

HYC were shortlisted in the Best Sports & Leisure Websites section which had the following websites ...

www.imra.ie
www.irishrugby.ie
www.munsterrugbysupporters.com
www.nationalaquaticcentre.ie
www.prebait.com
www.rte.ie/sport/olympics

The winner of this category in 2008 was the Irish Mountain Running Association's website (www.imra.ie) which is sponsored by Ordnance Survey Ireland.

It was however, quite an achievement for HYC's website to be in the running with some of the big hitters in that section.

Georgina Campbell's website
Georgina Campbell's website (http://www.ireland-guide.com/) won the 'Tourism, Travel & Hospitality' category in the Golden Spirder awards.

As you will all be aware, Georgina is Winkie Nixon's wife - congratulations to you both.
