The challenge to find the top club racing team on the North & East Coasts is on, with the news that Howth Yacht Club is to host the inaugural CityJet North & East Coast Club Championships on April 24/25 on behalf of the Irish Sailing Association using the ISA's Sailfleet J80s.

Invitations have been sent to 22 sailing clubs along the East Coast (from Wexford to Carlingford) and three Donegal clubs on the North Coast to send their top 4-person crews to compete in what is expected to be a hotly-contested event.

The entrants will be split into two flights, each racing three races on Saturday 24th, with the top four in each flight qualifying for a three-race final on Sunday 25th. Prizes will be awarded to the first three overall, with the champion crew winning a perpetual trophy and CityJet flights to London.

Entry forms have been issued to the clubs and the Euro Symbol90 fee and application must be returned to Howth Yacht Club by April 9th.
