Congratulations to HYC’s Ewan McMahon who won this year’s Crosbie Cup in Lough Ree Yacht Club. Ewan wasn't outside the top 5 in any race and won the event comfortably by 17 points ahead of Douglas Elmes from WHSC and Richard Thompson from RCYC.

The two day event was sailed in a mixture of weather conditions from light winds to 10 to 20kt’s on Saturday, and in sunshine and rain.

Jamie and Alex O’Grady sailing in their first main fleet series finished 13th and 16th respectively in the junior fleet, with Jamie recording a 5th in race 5. Daniel Hopkins continues to climb the results ladder in the junior fleet with a 15th overall and a very impressive 3rd place in race 5.

Well done to Neil Howard, Jamie McMahon and Lilly Jennings in the regatta fleet where Lilly came home in 7th place.

Thanks to all in Lough Ree for their hospitality and organisation. Great event, organisations and location.

The Crosbie Cup is an IODAI event and is for silver and regatta fleet sailors.
