The annual ISA Youths Championships were concluded on Sunday with HYC pair David Johnston and Louise Flynn Byrne winning ISA Gold medals and retained their Mitsubishi sponsored ISA Youth National title (U16).

A consistent set of results that included two firsts, two seconds and a third saw them see off Jamie Tingle/Criofan Guilfoyle (RCYC) and Sam Hyland/James O Connor (RStGYC) to take the title.

A mixed bag of weather in Dublin Bay, very light weather on Friday, and gusty 15-18knots on Saturday was concluded with decent breeze of 10-12kts on Sunday.

In parallel with the ISA event, the RS Feva class ran their 2012 Leinsters event. David and Louise took second place behind great rivals Conor Totterdell/Conor Maguire (RStGYC/RIYC). The two crews won seven of the eight races with both boats OCS in last race on Sunday. There has been nothing between these pair of crews in last two seasons and it looks like 2012 will be nick and tuck all the way to the RS Feva Nationals to be held in Howth this August.

HYC Isabel Cahill crewing with Niamh Henry took home ISA medal for best all girls crew while HYC's Molly Wheeler and Megan Callen had a consistent performance with their new boat.
