Howth Branch of the RNLI has received an exceptionally generous donation of a Brand New Honda Outboard Motor. It is a 10 hp, 4 stroke model with a short shaft. It comes complete with all accessories and a tailor-made "dolly" for ease of transportation. The approximate value of the whole kit is upwards of 2500.
The Donor wishes to remain anonymous. This is a remarkable donation from one individual and we are very, very grateful.
The outboard will be sold via the HYC Website and also the Howth Lifeboat Website. It is felt that, perhaps, the best time to sell would be in March / April 2009, but should an acceptable offer be received before then, it will be sold.
There is a reserve price as we want to raise as much as we can from this outstanding gift. One thing is certain - not only will the purchaser acquire a very fine outboard motor but they will also, in the process, be making a generous donation to our Operating Funds.
For details please contact Russell Rafter at 087 2469 088.
Please contact George Duffy at (01) 8393311 to view the motor at Howth Lifeboat house.
