Alastair McMillan receives Gold Badge for service to Howth Branch of RNLI

The Duke of Kent presented Alastair McMillan with a Gold Badge for his service to the Howth Branch of the RNLI at a Ceremony in the Barbicon, London.

Later, on 26th May, Special Guest, Senator David Norris, congratulated Alastair at an awards ceremony in the Royal Hospital in Kilmainham.

Alastair has been an RNLI fundraising Volunteer for 43 years, the past 7 of which he has served as the Chairman of Howth Lifeboat Branch.

The RNLI is a charity which exists to save lives at sea and depends entirely on voluntary contributions and fundraising volunteers like Alastair.

Well Done Alastair!
