The Club racing season starts next week and to date it would appear that a number of skippers have forgotten to enter the racing series!
Sailing Secretary Harry Gallagher wants to remind skippers (and crew) that it is a prerequisite of competing in club races that boats are entered in their respective classes in advance.
"It's not a matter of just turning up on the night and expecting to get a race and a result", says Harry. "From a recording point of view and for handicapping, we need to know who is planning on racing in the various series during the season," he added, "and I would ask skippers to let us know their intentions before next week."
The Launching Supper takes place this Friday evening at 8pm with a buffet supper and then music by Loose Cannon. Bookings can be made through the Restaurant, as usual - Tel: 839 2100
