| 'Cardiff Clipper' returned to HYC after completing the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race 2005/06. They started from Liverpool on 18th September '05 and finished in Liverpool on 29th July '06. They leave HYC for Gosport (Portsmouth) on Thursday 3rd August and then visit Cardiff at end August. Conor Fogarty from HYC is the skipper. They have a crew panel of 35, from which about 18 sail on different legs of the voyage. The Clipper Ventures company of which Sir Robin Knox-Johnson is the chairman owns 10 of these boats. 3 week training sessions for the 2007/08 race have commenced.
