| � The highlight of the team racing calendar is just around the corner, as teams of the finest pedigree from the top team racing nations will gather to compete for the coveted Wilson Trophy. This year Ireland is represented very strongly as four teams will be making the journey to West Kirby for a long weekend of intense competition on 3 - 5 May. HYC will be represented by Simon Rattigan, Geoff Tait and Darragh O'Connor as helms and Lynn Reilly, Freya Macken and Emma Geary as respective crews. The team have been training hard and have competed in a number of events both in the UK and Ireland in anticipation of the tough racing ahead. In the events over the last few months HYC have shown that strong results against the top teams, and have been focusing on communication and strategy in training in order to achieve consistency of these kind of race results needed at the top level. The Wilson Trophy, hosted by the infamous West Kirby Sailing Club, is the most prestigious team racing event in the world attracting 32 of the most competitive International teams. It is the most sought after prize within the world of team racing, in which Team HYC aim to strengthen the club's presence - particularly at the Wilson Trophy - by improving on last year's strong result. The team is targeting a quarter-final placing having narrowly missed out on this in 2012. Final preparations are underway and the team is making best use of the glorious spring weather to get in the last few training sessions.
