The Irish Sailing Association has just announced that HYC's Laura Dillon has been selected to represent Ireland in the Women's Division of the ISAF Nations Cup Europe II Regional Final next July 19-23 in Gdynia, Poland .
The current Irish Women's Champion, having won the ISA Women's Match Race Championship, Laura is currently placed 116th in the ISAF World Match Race Women's Rankings and is a previous winner of the ISA All Ireland Sailing Championship.
Sam Hunt of Kinsale will contest the Open Division.

Match Racing has grown strongly in Ireland since the ISA launched its SailFleet of J/80 keelboats in 2007 and the formation of the Match Race Ireland Association last year.
"The ISAF Nations Cup is a very tough competition, with the best match racers in the world competing. Both Laura and Sam are experienced match racers and know what they need to do to perform well in these competitions", said ISA Racing Manager Ed Alcock.
