Congratulations to Equinox for winning Class 4 IRC and Ross McDonald for winning top youth helm (under 25) overall at the Brewin Dolphin Scottish Series which took place in Tarbert from 28th to 31st May 2010. Equinox sailed a fantastic regatta to come out triumphant in a regatta that went right down to the last race!
Congrats to John McDonald (owner), Ross McDonald (skipper), Daire O'Reilly (tactics), Dylan Gannon (main), Simon Rattigan (trim), Joe Turner (trim), Emma McDonald (trim), John Downey (pit), Gareth May (mast) and Richard Bruton (bow).
HYC was also very well represented by Storm who finished 4th in Class 3 in a very tight fleet. Storm sailed very well and were unlucky not to finish on the podium.
Congrats to Equinox and Storm. Hopefully HYC boats will have more international successes to celebrate in 2010! And hopefully we'll have more boats from HYC at the Scottish Series in 2011! By all accounts - Equinox and Strom thoroughly enjoyed the regatta and will be back in 2011!
