On 24th March Rupert Jeffares, Operations Manager, Howth Lifeboat was presented with a cheque for  1,000 from the Soroptimist International Dublin Club. The Soroptimist International Dublin club is the largest service organisation for women worldwide.
Anne Nugent from Glasnevin, one of its long standing members nominated the RNLI as a very worthy cause.
Annually, the Soroptimist International Dublin Club holds a Presidents Dinner at Howth Yacht Club. This year it is on Sunday 25th April 2010 in aid of the Irish Wheelchair Association.
