It's that time of year again and the Puppeteer 22 National Championships will take place at Howth Yacht club over the weekend of 23rd, 24th and 25th of July.
We are especially grateful to our Sponsor for our event, Sutton Cross Pharmacy who in the face of the economic turn down, continually support the Puppeteer fleet and Howth Yacht Club. (Roisin and Orla sponsored HYC Lambay Races twice, the Squib Nationals and also HYC family day in recent times).
Sutton Cross Pharmacy is six years in business and we would ask all members of Howth Yacht Club to acknowledge their continued support to the club. Please show your appreciation and make a big effort to support Sutton Cross Pharmacy in these challenging times.
Many thanks in advance to our PRO for the event Derek Bothwell and his top racing team (Susan Cummins, Caroline Burke to name only a few) who are giving up this free summer weekend to ensure we have a top racing.
Thanks also, to Emmet Dalton who will have pencils sharpened & rule book at the ready, in the event of Protests.

Our racing commences on the Friday evening at 7pm with a course selected from the Tuesday night race card and then on Saturday & Sunday, there will be a mixture of Windward / Leeward and Olympic race courses set.
Conditions permitting, we hope to get in a total of 6 races, one on Friday, three on Saturday and two on Sunday.
Our Class Captain, Terry Harvey is exceptionally organised and has the Sailing Instructions ready and are available for download on the "Open events" section of the HYC website.

Ibis & Jellyroll
|
Best of luck to our defending National Champion Garret May and his team on Ibis - let's see if new comers to the fleet, Gold Dust and Blue Velvet can shake the champion from his 3 year reign!
This is always a most enjoyable and sociable event so get your application forms in early to Terry and best of luck to all in the preparations for the event.
