Daragh Sheridan's TP52 wipeout in Force 7

Wednesday night saw the second instalment in the Virtual Sailing series. The steeds mounted during the night included Melges 25, TP52, VOR70 and 8-trapeze lake monohulls.

A small but keen cohort of armchair warriors took to their keyboards in the dining room. The weather (The real weather, not the computer-generated version!) put a few regulars off attending but it meant everyone was able to take part in every race.

Dominating proceedings was Noel Davidson with 4 race wins. It should be noted that Noel opted for a small headsail in the second race, without declaring to the Race Committee. Only the Corinthian spirit of his opponents allowed Noel to bag that win. Snapping on Noel's heals were Daragh Sheridan and Emmet Dalton, closely followed by Ciara Kellet. In spite of the horrendous conditions, Ciara managed to keep her hair coiffed.

Hopefully the next event will attract a few newer players. Absolutely no experience is required and it is almost impossible to embarrass yourself.
