22nd January 2010

Congratulations to Puppeteer Class Captain, Suzanne Carroll, for organising the Puppeteer annual prizegiving dinner with a twist !

The event was held with a "Red Theme" and everybody got into the spirit of the night and wore something "Red".

Voluntary contributions to the RNLI were made on the night & many thanks to all who supported.

Commodore Peter McKenna (Sporting a Red Shirt and tie) complimented the Puppeteer class on it's turnout both on the night and racing during the year. There were over 120 people at the dinner and an average of 22 boats on the startline each Tuesday night, which is remarkable.

With 31 Puppeteers at Howth for the start of the 2010 season, the class is still on the up.

Howth Lifeboat 'Thankyou' from Rupert Jeffares

On behalf of Howth Lifeboat thank you very much for making the collection at the Puppeteer Prizegiving Dinner last Friday night. The amount collected was a fantastic Euro Symbol653.24 a tribute to the generosity of those present on the night.

Again, a huge thank you, It would be great if other classes would follow your lead and make a similar collection at their next prizegiving dinner.
