HYC K25 Team plans for 2013

The Howth Yacht Club Under 25 Keelboat Team have already started into a few weeks of intensive training for the upcoming events. With some variable weather conditions, the team have been working hard on boat handling, team work and straight line speed, under the tutelage of International Coach Graeme Grant.

The first away event of 2013 will be the J24 Northern Championships at Lough Erne Yacht Club on the 1st/2nd of June. The team return to Howth for the Lambay Races, followed by further training in Howth and Lough Ree in June. The other events scheduled are: Western Championships, LRYC, UK National Championships, Plymouth, Dun Laoghire Regatta, Irish National Championships, HYC.

The pinnacle of the season will be the BMW J24 World Championship at HYC in August, where the HYC K25 Team will be pitted against the best in the world including the current and previous World Champions. The team's focus will be on the Under 25 World Championship trophy which they will compete for against teams from UK, Germany and the USA.
