With four week to the ICRA national championships in Fenit, Howth Yacht Club has laid down the gauntlet by sending a very strong team to Kerry with their eyes set firmly on the new Club Team prize.

All entrants from Howth will be on the team and the top scoring three boats in each race will score.

Vincent Gaffney is the sole Class 3 representative with Alliance II but given Vincent's last outing in Fenit was a comprehensive win, he should again feature strongly. ICRA Commodore Norbert Reilly's Crazy Horse should also be in the reckoning in Class 0 given his previous strong results whilst Pat Kelly's ace crew on Storm hope to continue their Class 1 dominance to retain last year's title.

Class 2 will be represented by Team Captain, Dave Cullen's King One with a new improved Minimumm very much in the reckoning, both having scored highly in last year's event in Howth.
