Carpe Diem 1, from the Royal Nova Scotia Yacht Squadron (RNSYS), is currently on a 2 year circumnavigation of the North Atlantic. Incidentally, 'Carpe Diem' is Latin for "seize the day".

May 2006 Departed Halifax, Nova Scotia.
June 2006 Arrived Azores.
June 2006 Arrived Ireland.
Winter 2006 Wintered in Carrickfergus.
June 2007 Resumed Cruise - Arrived at HYC
June 2007 Heading for Cork
Sept. 2007 Visit Spain, Portugal, Madeira, Canaries, British Virgin Islands. Then to the Carribbean, USA and finally Home.

Gerry Moran and his daughter Karen visited the RNSYS in 1991 on their homeward passage from Nova Scotia to Baltimore, West Cork. Gerry recalled having a wonderful time at the club where they were each presented with a drinking tankard by the then Commodore of RNSYS.
