| John Bennett, our HYC Chief Steward, was honoured by the RNLI at its Annual National Awards Ceremony at the Royal Hospital Kilmainham on 11th June with the presentation of a Certificate of Thanks. This was in recognition of his input into the Golf Classic which has been organised in recent years by a group in the Ireland�s Eye Golfing Society with huge support from Club members, in aid of Howth Lifeboat. The three Classics run to date have raised in excess of  60,000. In addition John has looked after the collection boxes in the bar at the Club as well as being a keen supporter of the lifeboat.
